He is currently working on a cycle of scores for large ensemble composed in homage to Christian Boltanski, " Theater Of Shadows I & II ", as well as a score for voice, ensemble and electronics, " Sammlung ", composed from texts written by people interned in psychiatric hospitals at the beginning of the 20th century.

In 2005, Frédéric Durieux was awarded the Prix de la Fondation Prince Pierre de Monaco and, in 2016, the Prix Florent Schmitt from the Académie des Beaux-Arts - Institut de France. Frédéric Durieux is also an Officier dans l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres.
