Orchestras 2030" strategic document

Published in November 2023 , the Orchestras 2030 strategic document is the culmination of two years of intense exchanges between orchestra general managers and their teams, musicians, elected representatives from local authorities involved in orchestra funding and the DGCA within the Ministry of Culture: all of whom have contributed to this document.

The 23 strategic proposals set out in the document address the public service missions of orchestras: "Create, produce, disseminate and transmit", and the conditions for their implementation. This document offers suggestions that the profession and its institutional partners can seize upon and adapt to their own local circumstances. All are the result of a dialogue nurtured by the many different points of view and the extreme diversity of situations, and relate to their vision of the orchestra of tomorrow.

From 2024, the AFO's work program will focus on implementing the strategic document.
