The Association Française des Orchestres is the professional organization of reference for orchestras; it has been since 2000.
The Association Française des Orchestres was created on the initiative of permanent orchestras with the support of the General Direction of Artistic Creation (DGCA – Ministry of Culture).
It aims to showcase and promote both the established repertoire and the newer creations as well as the performers, as part and parcel of the cultural public service and in the service of the general interest.

Focus sur…Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg
Placé sous la direction musicale et artistique d’Aziz Shokhakimov depuis septembre 2021, l’Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg compte parmi les formations majeures de l’Hexagone. Fort de 110 musiciens permanents perpétuant sa double tradition française et germanique, il porte un projet ambitieux autour de la musique symphonique à la portée de tous les publics avec plus de 100 concerts par an.
