Born in Japan, Harumi Ventalon began playing the violin at the age of four. A disciple of Jean-Pierre Wallez at the Geneva Conservatory, she was awarded the Premier Prix de Virtuosité, as well as the Prix Spécial Henry Stern. She was then invited to perform as a soloist with Jean-Pierre Wallez and Michel Corboz, then with various ensembles in France, Switzerland, Italy and Japan, as well as with the Orchestre d'Auvergne with Svetlin Roussev, Maxim Brilinsky and Amaury Coeytaux.
1997: Bachelor's degree in violin at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music
2001: Premier Prix de Virtuosité, as well as the Prix Spécial Henry Stern. Appointed co-solo violinist with the Orchestre d'Auvergne
2001 / 2005: Member of the Eurydice Quartet
2009: Founded the Quatuor Appassionata.
