Quatuor Diotima - American music

Having worked with some of the great names of the 20th century (Thomas Adès, Pierre Boulez, Helmut Lachenmann...), the Quatuor Diotima now enjoys a solid international reputation. The ensemble readily blends repertoire and contemporary creations in programs of varied aesthetics. This concert highlights various aspects of American modernity and post-modernity: Crumb's unheard-of sonorities converse with Reich's haunting minimalism. To complete this immersion in the music of our time, the Quatuor Diotima will be premiering a work by American composer Augusta Read Thomas.
