ANNE-SOPHIE VERSNAEYEN - winner of the 1st Prix des auditeurs France Musique Sacem for film music 2023
New work (commissioned by Radio France - world premiere)

From Lawrence of Arabia to Doctor Zhivago, his filmography sounds like a call to adventure, to faraway lands, to the discovery of world cultures. Maurice Jarre's music tears up the screen," analyzes Alexandre Desplat. It's CinemaScope with notes. It's also an incredible journey: the Renaud-Barrault company with Pierre Boulez, the Théâtre National Populaire during the Jean Vilar period, then the discovery of cinema with Franju and Mocky, before the Hollywood exile where three Oscars and a flurry of collaborations with David Lean, Huston, Hitchcock, Kazan, Peter Weir await him... To mark the centenary of his birth, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France celebrates a master of the epic, with a new work by composer Anne-Sophie Versnaeyen.
