L'Île des jamais trop tard

On an island in the North Atlantic, ten-year-old Lise takes in polar animals stranded by the melting ice pack. Polar bears, penguins, sled dogs, seals and puffins: these animals can speak! Here they are, pleading the cause of Arctic inhabitants threatened with extinction. But if the pack ice disappears, isn't Lise's little island on borrowed time?
On the crucial theme of climate emergency, playwright Stéphane Michaka and Welsh composer Sarah Lianne Lewis have imagined an animal fable that is as realistic about the dangers that threaten us as it is hopeful for the future. With the presence of the great pianist Vanessa Wagner and the Orchestre de Picardie conducted by Jean Deroyer, this is a first-rate musical "cast" that gives voice to actress Céline Milliat-Baumgartner.
