Pianist and composer Eve Risser explores new horizons at the helm of her Red Desert Orchestra, which brings together musicians from Europe and Africa. Following their collaboration with the Kaladjula Band on Kogoba Basigui, the ensemble's Eurythmia distills a gentle trance between improvised music, jazz and the sounds of balafon, djembe and bara. A hybrid conceived according to the principles of oral musical tradition: a lot of intuition, experimentation and listening between musicians for a meticulous "weaving" work. The result is a magical, haunting music that intoxicates the listener to the point of vertigo.
