It's worth remembering that one day, certain listeners discovered Beethoven's symphonies for the first time. Can you imagine the shock felt by the audience at the Theater an der Wien on December 22, 1808, when Beethoven unveiled his Fifth, Sixth Symphony and Fourth Concerto in quick succession? It is said that they pouted... Here, the "Pastoral" Sixth is accompanied by Shostakovich's Second Violin Concerto , a fake birthday present for David Oïstrakh, and a new work by Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber.
