Dance and its consequences. This is the common thread running through this evening, which begins with Bach's MusicalOffering, reread by Webern, followed by the First Partita for solo violin, and culminates in Beethoven's Seventh Symphony, in which Wagner saw "the apotheosis of dance, dance in its supreme essence, the fusion of body and spirit". Aziza Sadikova also dances, refining a Bach Chaconne for mandolin .
